I'm looking for a stick or two of 256MB PC133 RAM.

Anyone got some lying around those boxes of bits and bobs you can never throw out!!

you could try www.adverts.ie but that stuff is expensive compared to ddr, and its lower bandwith, i sold 10 sticks for €30 each about 6 months ago, and i could have charged more

note... if your pc has 256 already then adding another 256 will really only improve the time it takes to switch between running programs

but if i was you i'd look for a motherboard on ebay that will take your current cpu and ddr ram

Sister-in-law's PC - not really gogint o do anything else except upgrade the memory in this one.

Thanks anyway - I didn't want to have to go to adverts - thought I'd try here first.

For the price of 2x256 ram you'd probably pick up an entire old PC with more ram already installed. Then install your ram in it and give the old PC away.

Hate to be the person who gets the PC with no RAM, especially when it's so hard to source:D
