eBay automatically converts prices to euro if you enter via ebay.ie rather than ebay.com, so don't place any importance on that. It's probably 110V, so yes you'd need a transformer rated at whatever power the router is rated at. No idea how much this would cost. Then, factor in the postage costs, plus you may also end up getting get charged for import duty, and it might not seem such a bargain after all.

    What make/type is it BTW?

Are ebay.ie and ebay.co.uk together as the one section. The reason I ask is that anytime I've went into the former it seems to contain the same listings as the UK version but with the prices in Euros. Is there a way that you can get stuff only being sold in Ireland, even if it's just the Republic?

I was looking for a table saw I logged in to ebay .ie for about 5/6 weeks I never in that time saw[ excuse pun] an adv. from Irl.Every sale on ebay except for brand new stuff from power sellers, was down for pickup only.It always p####s me off ,if I wanted to buy outside Irl. I would log into ebay.com.I used to recieve emails twice daily keeping me up to date on the sale of table saws a lot of them from the US who wouldnot ship anyway.
Eventully I bought the saw herefrom a supplier a lot less hassle and as cheap as anything on ebay.

Yes, I've noticed the same thing when it comes to buying hand tools - there seem to be very few sellers in Ireland. Now I realise the population is a lot less but might it also be the case that ebay just hasn't caught on here to the same extent as it has in Britain? I'm not asking for an answer to that or anything, boysie, just wondering out loud, so to speak!

Has anyone encountered any woodwork stuff on adverts.ie?

I think the Irish sellers use the Buy and Sell or the local trader to shift their stuff. But I dont think there are any more bargins to be had. A few years ago you could pick up something in a reasonable condition at a good price but now everyone wants top dollar for really poor items.I went to look at a table saw that was offered I drove 30 miles there and 30 back to discover thatwhat I was told over the phone and the saw bore no resemblence. People have the idea that you can sell anything now ,you can but you should expect to get what its worth.I think they believe that if there selling below what it cost new its a bargin. Anyway with woodworking tools its better to buy new what with 3 yrs. warrenty and special offers at least your sure to get a few years without haveing to fork out for spares.

I've looked at stuff on ebay and that but unless the item you want is high value or light postage costs can be prohibitive. When I was first putting some kit together I bought mostly from the likes of McQuillans, Richard Goughs and Joe McKenna etc (this was pre- internet) but now I'm nearly happier to buy online for the more specialised stuff, unless the items I want are very heavy. I don't know what boot sales and flea markets are like in this country, compared to Britain. I bought a very nice Marples sash mortise chisel for €3 down in Kilmore Quay from a trader onetime, but that was the pick of the crop!

I have bought a few tools from ebay including a Trend T9, dewalt jigsaw, freud biscuit joiner and a few other small bits and bobs.
The cost of getting tools in from the states can be expensive. I once looked at getting a dewalt chop saw but kept putting it on the long finger. You can get Large items shipped for considerably less if you get them shipped from airport to airport. I did this last year and had to go out to the cargo depot at the airport to pick an item up, saved a lot of money doing this
