I've a number of domain names I'd like to sell. They are registered on namecheap.com and redirect to one particular site. I'd like to sell them on eBay, can I do this?

    Thanks in advance,

    BB

if you are the owner of the domains, yes you can do it,

the best way is namecheap to namecheap
its a free push, also registering for a namecheap account is free

you can sell domains on sites like webmasterworld.com sitepoint.com namepros.com , these places allow you to post your domain for sale and recieve bids or replies with bids,

ebay is the same pretty much

normally you set a Starting Price and a BIN ( Buy it Now) so say you will sell if you get €100, then set a auction price at €10 and set BIN at €100 or higher if you wish

If the domains are any good you could put them up on sedo or afternic. I wouldn't recommend eBay, as it's a general marketplace. You'd get a better price on a site that specialises in domains

I agree, eBay wil have broader interest's, and less audience for selling domains...afternic seems to be a very respected site on the net.

Firstly are you liable for tax on the money received for the site? If yes, when selling on an overseas site like godaddy(America) are you liable for tax in America and then in Ireland on the money received?

Don't forget you can only sell a .ie business and not technically the domain name only - that's not allowed

If you want to discuss selling domains, please start a new thread rather that dragging up multiple old threads.
