A new dedicated Bus Interchange facility at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. Full details will be available in hand outs and notices.

Does anyone know anything about this? It's possibly the worst press release I've ever seen, the literal equivalent of 'nothing to see here'

I've heard its going to be on the yellow side of the Blanchardstown Centre. For the last few weeks there has been some big roadworks to do with access in & around the centre.
I believe they are planning to move all the bus stops from the blue side as Dublin Bus are complaining that the buses are getting caught up for too long in and around the centre.

It's in the northwest corner of the site AFAIK and they've been widenning the roads around the centre to add buslanes to get to it. If metroWest route 1 is selected then the interchange will be right beside the line.

By looks of things, the works are now completed (with the exception of signage) over by Mama's and Papa's. Bus shelters are also in place (again no signage).
New pedestrian crossing is also functioning via traffic lights.

The buses started using it this morning. 2/3 staff from Dublin Bus were there to guide people which was good.

I think that MW Route 1 runs, in fact, along east of centre, past the Fitness Centre. Route 2 runs along Blanch Road South at back of Athlantic and Smyths, etc. Certainly the ring road in front of these, west of main centre, has the bus lanes.
