    As I am relatively new to the college, I am wondering how a person would go about getting grinds? Is there facilities wiithin the college or would the SUhave a list of people to contact?

    try send an email to the class-lists of the years ahead of you in your course, there'll probably be at least someone who gives grinds, or might help you out.
    maybe ask one of your lecturers if they know of anyone who might give grinds in whatever subjects you need them in.
