    Hey all,

    Mods feel free to move!!

I have a Martin D-41 that needs to be sent back to the States for a finishing job. There a big air bubbles along the neck and it's getting worse all the time. The guitar is only 3 months old so it's still under warranty. If I get the job done locally 1) it will prob cost a good bit and 2) The warranty will be void.

I need to get customs documentation for the guitar to proove that it originated in Ireland. I don't want to be hit for VAT, etc etc when the guitar is shipped back to me!!

How do I go about getting the documentation?

If you are going to use FedEx or UPS or similar to send the guit to the I would start by asking them how to do it. They would be very familiar with that kind of transaction AFAIK.

You could also contact Revenue (www.revenue.ie) and enquire as to the appropriate proceedure. Tbh, you'll probably get a quicker answer from a shipping company though.

This from FedEx should provide you with some good information also.
