Best way to share and edit a file online.

I have a spreadsheet with family details that I would like the whole family to be able to access (not a problem) and update (problem). What, if any, is the best way to go about this?

Initial thought was an FTP site using my BB provided space but a dry run seemed to suggest that the file could be opened and edited but not saved back to the original location by a remote user.

Free hosting like putfile.com will only allow viewing, not editing, yes?

Is there another way? Or is FTP the only realistic, and free, option? I will admit that the dry run was simply mailing the link, opening, editing and trying to save. I am trying to avoid having to give tutorials to the whole family, so keeping it simple.

    Thanks in advance.
    M

Yep, Google documents is your best bet. We use these for projects, everyone can edit the documents online and we can chat as a group about it while we do it. It can be used for both documents and spreadsheets so should serve your purpose :)
