I have onboard 7.1 and I have a Creative X-Fi card but I'm having difficult getting a dolby digital signal output.

I have AC3 Filter and ffshow but I need help in configuring it.

    Cheers

what are you playing? If its a downloaded movie or tv episode then haing all that equipment us useless unless the file you are playing is in fact recorded in dolby digital or AC3 or something.

For instance your average tv episode of lost or something is about 350mb or so... the AC3 version is double the size.

I'm well aware of that Saruman.

No, I'm trying to do this with actual DVD's. I'm testing using Saving Private Ryan
