Not a Gamer, but the Wii...

As I said I'm not a gamer, not since the nineties, when i was in my teens, but the wii just seems magic too me. In recent years the Playstation and Xbox seem to be striving solely towards graphics, but thw wii looks to have brought back the essence of what games are about. Magic - can't wait for one.

It's revolutoionary for gaming. It'll change how what future models will do. I mean, it's so different. It seems that there's a lot of stuff to do on the Wii - I'm still digesting it. What with (probably) great graphics, great games (Zelda, Mario...can't wait!) and a remote (!) for a controller! Plus you're able to access the internet, go through channels, watch the weather/news, Wii points.....it's crazy!

Won't be getting one straight away but it would be nice

I'm not a big gamer either, although I love my PSP and am kind of addicted to Civ4 on PC. The fact that the Wii has caught my attention to the point of making me obsessed with getting one says a lot about Nintendo's strategy for attracting a new following. I reckon this console will be a big hit with families and people who wouldn't normally go in for games, as well as for hard-core gamers. It just looks like so much fun :)

I love the new controler. That'll be a new way to play games with the big motion sensor thing. Still I heard roumers that the graphics barely top the gamecube...anyone else hear of this? Even if so I don't think that'll make a diffrence.

    Only 10 days to go....

Might be worth making sure of your pre-order, apparently the Wii is one of the most sought after toys in Ireland this christmas

Not much of a gamer in recent years either but feel the Wii has caught onto the elements that'll bring me back, have pre-ordered and am looking forward to the 8th.

Yeah whats with the graphics? I'm not one who needs top of the range graphics but the Wii should at LEAST be as good as competor console graphics like the PS2 (if not PS3) and should be well better than the Gamecube. It looks a bit average from what I've seen (just the Zelda ad). It's probably good enough but still...

They should've kept the name "revolution" IMO.
