That second (lower spec) one is an incredible price.

I was thinking of building a new one after Christmas, but that certainly has made me re-think. I wonder what type of TV-tuner it is, though (analogue/digital)?

I know I thought it was too cheap to be true, apparently the tuner is:

hybrid DVB-T and analog tuner

The cheaper one is a particularly good deal for a regular MCE machine.

The more expensive one is more suitable for HD tasks like if you were going to hook up a HD-DVD/Blu-ray drive to the machine.

I'd go for the cheaper one if I wasn't interested in HD stuff and bump the RAM to 1GB as that unit can handle Vista MCE as well.

In regards the tuner someone said a while back the kind Acer uses don't give very good picture quality via analogue maybe it has changed but I couldn't say one way or the other.

Why not get the Nvidia DualTV Tuner? With that baby, you can record one channel and also watch another at the SAME TIME!
