My $1 Bankroll

Ok so, I have only $1 left in PokerStars so I am going to start afresh and try to build myself a bankroll from this. I am doing well enough in other poker rooms but I am gettin very bored with online poker at the minute and I am just looking for a fresh challenge to be honest.
Obviously at the start this is going to take a bit of luck as I there is probably a 50/50 chance I will lose it all in the first hand :( .
So as of today I am going to play $0.01/$0.02 until I build it up to $20. I might also play in some STT as this is what I am actually good at:D

So here goes, I will update this regularly with how I get on. The ultimate goal would be to do something like what Chris Ferguson done at a smaller scale of course, but really I am just trying to make a decent bankroll for low limit games. And hopefully I wont be back in 5 mins asking the mod to close this thread!!

You don't have enough for a full buy in at 0.01/0.02 :P

I think $1 is maybe too little for anyone to do anything with. Maybe make the minimum deposit of $50 and start from there in the micro-limits.

Another idea might be to start a blog and make a point of posting on it every day with your +/- as motivation.

Some huge players started out with hardly nothing. I played with this young kid "Emipre2000" every day in Vienna for a week and he told me how he started with $50 in Pokerstars. Only 18 months later (last March), he had $460,000 in his account - and I saw it with my own eyes. He's now a huge winner in the $25/$50. I think his only flaw was that he said he's only ever withdrawn about $20,000.

give me your username there, I think I've some loose change on stars, at least you'll have a full buy-in. Don't forget me when you get to 20k.

Thanks for the offer but I will have to decline I'm afraid.
Just out of interest were you playing in the DCU tournament this week?

So doing this for about 20 mins now and its a lot tougher than I had thought. Dont get me wrong here, the standard is awful but the fact that I have only $1 of a BR is a problem. This could really be the most important cash game that I will play in this challenge as if I go broke here it is over. I need to at least double up to have a chance of this working!! My main problem is that I am finding it really tough to be aggressive as I have so little money and everyone is just a calling station anyway. It could take some time for me to adapt from my usual game.

I built my bankroll up from 40c on paddy power playing limit, at €150 now. But it seems to have stopped going up.

Chris Ferguson turned a one Dollar bankroll into 20,000.

He did it as an exercise in self control and to get back playing the game for the love of it again.

He started at 1c/2c and moved up through 5c/10c to 10c/25c and so on untill he was playing in the highest game.

One of the rules he set himself was that he was never allowed to have more than 5% of his BR in play at anyone time so he often had to drop levels after losing sessions.

Oh and he failed on his first dollar attempt playing PLO but swicted to NLH for the second dollar and was succesful.

    Opr

ive tried the 1dollar challenge myself just over a month ago, turned it into 300 in a day moved up a few levels / mtts and donked it off :).. good fun though...

Well a little while ago I failed at my attempt. By god is takes a bit of patience to get off the ground. I had it up to $5.50 at the same table and then lost most of it when I called an all in on the flop with TPTK and he then river his kicker to make 2 pair!! and just tilted the rest of it really!!
I think the key to this challenge is to keep trying it. Its a little like rounders STTs in a way I think. I will give this a go later again when I make a decent deposit into Poker Stars again. This time though I am not going to worry about going broke and just play really aggressive as it is very easy to push these players around once you have a few more dollars more than them at the table!!

If you're looking for advice on how to turn €1200 into €1 in less than a week, I'm your man.
    I'm actually expert at this.
I can even do it with my eyes closed. That's how good I am.
