Couple of quick Sky+ self install Q's!

I'm buying a second hand sky+ box today, and am planning on installing it myself.

I'm wondering where can I get the '2 channel' cable to run from the quad LNB to the sky+ box?

I currently have standard sky, with one cable going from dish to box, but I understand you can buy a single line of cable with two connections at either end for use with sky+?

    Do peats/maplins carry it?

    Thanks, Barry.

Also, I dont have a phone line, which is why I'm going down the second hand route.

From what I've read I shouldnt have any problems activating the Sky+ features over the phone?

Sorry to keep updating my own post, but I've seen that the cable is called CT63 cable.

I can get it on Ebay, but I'd rather just buy it in town if I can.

Anyone know where to get it?

    Cheers

I heard that if you dont have a phone line connected they will cancel your subscription ... basically the sky + box connects to the server through your phone line every night i think ... it doesnt show up on your phone bill and you do not get charged for the call as i think they call the box instead but it tells them if you've watched any pay per view ... if they see that ur using sky+ and they can't dial the box then your in trouble ..

but maybe if your getting the second hand box then the account isnt put down as a sky+ so they dont try to connect.

They only make problems over phone with a Mirror sub.

    They want your money.

The phone is just confirmation of activation. They never call on it, the Sky box is told to phone home. Everything is really done by satellite.

Cool, thanks. Any idea where I'd pick up the CT63 cable?

The "Shotgun" cable isn't very good and quite expensive.

Use two runs of CT100 / PF100 etc.
