I've been playing through OOT and I've just completed the water temple; I'd like to finish that again before the Wii comes out. I've also been playing some Mario Kart Double Dash & Super Monkey Ball but my Gamecube has started acting up recently (loosing the picture) so it's just as well the Wii is backward compatible!

\Edit: I just discovered that one of the controller extension cables was faulty (from rolling it up!) and causing a short. So there's nothing wrong with the console after all:)

Indeed, in fact I'm not looking forward to the 8th because it means the assignment deadlines are that much closer.

Ugh, 25,000 word assignment due on the 15th and dissertation proposal due on the 12th.

I got a new tv today at lunchtime.

This means I'll finally be able to play the 60Hz-only Ocarina of Time I got with wind waker! And I haven't played OOT since 1999, and can hardly remember it.

So, yeah, it shouldn't be THAT bad.....:)

I've booked the 8th off work partly for the Wii and partly because the xmas party is on the 7th and I'll be hungover.

Finished Wind Waker last weekend... im building my apprehension by watching those 'Retrospective' videos on GameTrailers and playing completely unrelated games (Project IGI, Diablo2 and a bit of Resident Evil)

Ive tried playing my Gamecube games on my new HD tv on an RGB scart connection and I really wouldnt recommend it, especially wind waker. Nothing but jaggies as far as the eye can see.

I really hope the component cables for the Wii help with this. I dont want to have to drag the Wii all over the house when i want to play old games. Maybe i shouldnt have given away my old SD tv so quickly
