Tesco, Dunnes and Super Value were advertising yesterday in the papers spirits and beer at below cost.
(off licences spent yesterday complaining on the radio about them).

Today we have a Tesco offer until Sunday with 25% rebate
on Spirits, Beers and Wines.
You get the rebate back in vouchers in your next statement.
Happy days.

Excellent, Tesco are doing their bottle of imperial vodka (70cl) for 11.75 down from 14.99 so with 25% off thats for half nothing!!

15.99 for 24 bottles of Budweiser in Dunnes. I dunno about Miller etc. Just bought six crates to waste on friends for Christmas. I'll be drinking the good stuff /

Just bought *ahem* a couple of bottles of vodka for 11.75 so happened to notice!

Jesus! I think the duty alone is around 11.57 on a bottle (maybe that a litre though).

Tesco, Dunnes, Super Value are all practically the exact same prices for booze only with Tesco this weekend, you get 25% back in vouchers which in effect is a 25% reduction.
Dunnes will probably have an offer like this soon but have to say there are better bargains in Tesco these days in the wine section.

I was pleasantly surprised with supervalu and tesco myself! Had some champagne to, not my usual. Cheap but wasn't half bad!

stocked up on drink tonight in tesco, the prices really are good. have to go back for the cases of guinness tommorow though, when i asked the girl where they were she said they had sold out of 2 pallets worth since that morning, no more til tommorrow:mad:

Was in Oddbin's in the Blanch Centre tonight and they have lots of specials on Wine and Beer..picked up some 500ml bottles of Organic Cider...really nice stuff...€3.20 each..but buy two get one free...

Lots of promos on wines as well... :-)

I'd say the off licences are getting killed at the moment by the supermarkets.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the off licences doing loads of specials to get people back in there.
Tesco have some nice bottles of Chardonnay 2 for a tenner
(and then another 25% off that!).

Dunnes had what I think was 24 cans of Guinness (500ml) for 34.50 euro or thereabouts which was an excellent price.

Definitly seems to be as good value here than going up to the North at the moment.
