howya folks, just a quick question. i recently bought a laptop, but the soundcard in it is a pile of crap. i need to find an external soundcard with the necessary inputs that would allow me to record into the computer to a program such as windows media or something like that, i need to do this as a means of gettin my newly recorded music from my 4track onto the computer and from there either up to myspace as an mp3 or hardcopied onto cd or both. anyone have any recommendations of not too expensive external soundcards with this capability, just the ordinary mic in/line in input is needed

Moving this to computers/tech, you will get a better response there. ;)

You can get an external sound card that uses USB ports or the PCMCIA slot (should have one) on your laptop. Would this work for you? Don't know much about sound, sorreh. Komplett.ie have a few if you want to spend more.
