Jmp-1?

Im planning on building a rack based around a triaxis and 20/20, but cant quite swing for the triaxis at the moment.
Anybody got any opinions on the marshall JMP as a semi-temporary preamp(based on experience and not what youve heard/read)?

I have one and really like it, the only thing I'd say is that the cleans arent the best. Have a look on the harmony central boards, there a guy that posts there under the name billy corgan. He has a bunch of clips there comparing the triaxis and the jmp1, it should give you a better idea.

Personally, I don't believe in getting temporary solutions. Surely you could score a second hand Triaxis easily enough? There's one here with a fairly modest Buy It Now price, and they'll ship internationally.

My guitar teacher has a JMP-1 and 20/20 with a G-Major and it sounds absolutley awesome.

It's my main preamp. Wouldnt dream of replacing it with a Triaxis

well what sorta stuff do you play??

The Jmp is VERY good, it works for maiden etc. possibly one of the best unless your spending alot and I mean alot on a rack.. and if you know your not gonna be able to get a triaxis get the up grades to give it more low end and gain.;)

Works for Maiden because it's what they use As well as Judas Priest as of lately.
