How could they?!?! Finally my tolerance with covers has ended. One of the greatest, cheesiest 80s songs has had all the fun taken out of it by those 5 bimbos. The cover is an absolute disgrace. Now all the teeny boppers will be running around saying how great the new Girls Aloud song is. This, coupled with a stadium tour and 'greatest hits' album, is a nice way to milk fans before the inevitable split.

    Disgraceful.

Ah I don't remember it when it came out. Sure I'm only 21! Even still though it's a song that gets played at every 21st/birthday party and a classic.

As long as they keep murdering within their own, I don't mind.

I concur with Hal and this track comes nowhere near the greatness of the original by Tiffany.

The chorus is what kills it.. it's not chorus for a group.. it's a solo song, as simple as that!

Pure tripe.. Tiffany's probably rolling in her grave right now!

    .... what?.... she's NOT dead?....

... she goes on my list then! :D

To be honest, I couldn't care if they covered my favourite song, once they keep churning out those video's!

    The original by Tiffany?

"I think we're alone now" was originally released by Lene Lovich in 1978 - and is a quite excellent wacky new wave number which was murdered by Tiffany, and now by Girls Loud.

Actually it was originally a hit for Tommy James & The Shondells in 1967.

The Spinto Band do a fantastic rendition (as the French say) of this. Heard it live in the Village and it's gonna be the b-side to their next single.

So Girls Aloud are murdering/ripping off the Spinos more than anyone else!
