Charging the Garmin 610 from the mains

I recently bought a Garmin 610. It does not come with a mains charger and the mains chargers you can buy on eBay appear to connect the car mount which is a bit awkward. You can of course charge it while it is connected to the PC through a mini usb to standard usb cable. I own a Motorola phone whose charger has the same connector as a mini usb cable and I assume generates the same voltage as the usb cable from a computer. Can someone confirm that that voltage from a motorola charger with a mini usb connector is the same voltage as from the standard usb to mini usb cable you connect to a PC.
