sky difficulties in mce with wintv pvr usb2

Ok this is driving me mad!

got the wintv usb2. it will recieve my xbox 360 thru the composite inputs, but not the sky box!

i have the sky box connected thru the tv scart>rgb adapter(came with my xbox).composite inputs. i will get a flicker, but no picture or sound!

is there anything i need to do on the sky box??

The xbox adapter wont work it's wired to input you need one set to output like this.

cool, i ordered one there now...to then i should just plug in my regular rgb>rgb wires into that and the pvr?

Set the adapter to output & plug it into the Sky box after that you will be able to get a composite video signal that the tuner will pick up.

another little problem im having now is, do sky have an epg?? how do i set recordings on sky?? and how can i get into skys tv listings?? as if i pressed the tv guide button??

are you running mce?
if so just press tv on your remote that should bring you to the setup.

if not go into settings > tv > set up tv signal

oh i have it set up on mce. and can change channels using the digits and the channel up and down. but dont know how to set up the epg to get the tv guide!

that should have been setup as part of the tv setup.

well yeah it did, but i had to skip that step the second time around cos all it was finding was an analogue ariel epg for rte,n2 and tv3...which is not what i have. i have my stb connected into the tuner....

found that thread on tgb, usefull, but hasnt got what im looking for. just wondering if anyone had experience of getting the skp epg working??

ive setup the epg with ntl which should be the same thing.
when it asks you what tv you have is sky in the list or are you choosing analog?

it only gives me the option of the analogue ariel no option for sky..

is ntl digital in the list even?
if not try telling it you live in dublin or galway to get better listings.

ok, got it there, wasnt showing sky the first time, tried it again and it came up!!
