Microsoft MCE remote

    hi i recently got a dell media centre and have been trying to hook my sky digital up to the media centre i have go the singal by going thru the antenna but the quailty is not great so i got a scart adapter and got it in thru the compsite but when i set up the signal it is looking for ir hardware is there a way of doing it without using the Microsoft MCE remote and using the remote from the tv tuner the tuner i have is win tv any help would be great i am new at this so if i have posted this wrong sorry

    You can purchase the remote online using MCE without it will become very tiresome.

    I thought Hauppauge shipped MCE compatible remote's with some of their tuners I guess not in your case.

    I think setting up MCE without having the IR Blaster & remote is possible (in fact I think I recall doing it once) but I am not so sure about it if you are getting the TV signal from an STB (set top box) like Sky as I think in that case you need it to complete the setup.
