I doubt he has the ace high flush here. think he may have 10s and put you on a draw due to your flat call on the flop. i push here

It's hard to make comments without a bit more info on the Villain. What sort of player on him, any reads during the hand? Would he raise preflop with TT or 55?

It's possible he has something like AdTx, or a smaller flush so get it in. What was his re-raise to on the turn?

    Standard potage me thinks....

Its just unlucky if you come up against the ace high flush but it is a +Ev move imo.

    this is not good Laf.
this is not a "it depends on the villain" situation at all.
so what are you trying to figure out by asking the above questions?
you trying to figure out if he has the nut flush or not when you have the second nut flush so that you fold it !
we dont really need any answers here about how villain plays at all.
we have the second nuts and villain seems to have a hand he likes so get all in .
there is small chance you may be beat but if you do this everytime it happens you will come on top.

Stacks are pretty deep. You probably misconstrued my first post on this thread.

If we reraise full pot, Villain will probably fold any 2 pair hand or AdXx if he's not a moron. He will call with any flush or set and possibly Ad+pair.

When I ask for reads and what hand Villain might have here, if he has a weak hand, he could fold (which is bad for us). He has 500 or so behind after reraising to 200, when we stick it all in he's going to have to pause and have a think.
So I was trying to find out if the OP had any inkling of how strong Villain was, I wasn't looking for reads to see if hero could make a huge fold!

i just read the OP again .i though villain only had 100 behind after his raise.
if villain has a set then he has 10 outs .
if he has the Adx then he has 7 outs .
you can really slow play here as he has outs to beat you and if his outs dont arrive his not likely to pay more .also any reraise from our part has us committed so again IMO the best play here is to shove.

so yeah its basically a cold deck he had Ad9d but what if i had Jdxd or Qdxd?? is it still an easy push in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 233 ✭✭gocall01

With the second nuts it is an easy push and as in this case the nuts sometimes appears and that is life.
When holding Qdxd / Jdxd it is obviously getting more dangerous as they are more hands you lose too.
It comes down to you as a player and your gut feeling at the table.
Personally, I err on the cautious side whereas other may be pushing the Qdxd / Jdxd.

In the long run 2nd top flush will be profitable IMO!
