Jackpot have the student friendly 20+3 freezeout tonight. It's getting quite popular now, last 2 weeks have been getting 50+ numbers
I shall be going to it, actually heading in early due to some talk or training Liam Flood is giving for irish open

i think most regualars here who play the DC end up dumping their chips cos the cash tables look so tasty!

Sometimes I try, sometimes I dont. Either way I'll normally be gone before the break.

    RE: Sporting Emporium

I was speaking with John on Tuesday night and he was talking about tinkering with the structure of tonights tourney in order to make it better. He was talking about running antes at a repeated 150/300 level and giving an extra 1k in chips.

Personally I thought it didnt sound like a big change but John reckoned it would induce better play earlier due to the inflated pots etc.. to be fair he has more experience of this than me so il wait and see...

Its already a crapshoot, i think introducing antes will make it even more of a crapshoot becuause the extra 1k chips wont make a difference. Add 5 minutes onto the blind levels and then you might be getting somewhere..

i totally agree...5k in chips with 20 min blinds is not condusive to an early ante introduction.

as far as inducing better play...i think it'll induce even more bad calls due to inflated pots.

sorry - I omitted to include that (although I had a few pints in me) I think he said he would be extending the levels once the antes came into play.
