    Can you use the past participle with the imperfect as in:
    "Il avait changé"
    Or, do you say:
    "Il avait changer"
    Or, is it simply the passé composé:
    "Il a changé"

    "_____" are supposed to mean "It changed" (referring to a change in society)

    il a changé - change has happened
    par example: le role des femmes a changé

    Il avait changé - it had changed, (when + passe composé)
    par example: elle avait fini son dinner quand il est arrivé.

    Il avait changer - wrong :-)
