ipod shuffle - drag and drop?

    hi guys
    hope yer all well
    just wondering can ijust drag and drop music file sonto my new shuffle or must i go thur the the itunes sh*te?
    how do i stop it from updateing my ipod everytime i connect it to the pc

    No, you cannot drag and drop to the any iPod. iTunes (or whatever program you use) builds a DB of all the files that you are transferring and indexes the memory address so that battery life is extended.

    You can DnD normal data files onto it if you have "disk mode enabled".

    You do this in preferences in iTunes and the auto update can also be disabled in preferences.
