Any suggestions, haven't read any apart from a little pocket Hellmuth book which was very basic. I wouldn't call myself advanced by a long shot but definitely think i know what I'm doing, want to move on to the next stage, what books would you recommend?
    Cheers.

I have a suggestion: Winning Texas Hold'em by Matt Maroon
I'm reading it right now (almost through) and quite satiesfied yet, alltough I still have to look up somme things in the internet. but luckily there are good ressources, my favourite right now is http://www.pokerstrategy.org.uk/
good luck with getting the present you want ;)

That's a limit book as far as I know. No use to anyone around here.

max_power, an alternative to Harringtons books would be Phil Gordons Little Green Book. Generally covers the same ground, but is more concise.

If you play NL cash games, then the best technical book is definately No Limit Holdem Theory and Practice by Sklansky and Miller (as mentioned by Lloyd). I wouldn't rate it as a beginner book, though.

I'll be generous. 24 hours to post here and tell me you have nothing to do with the book or the site you mentioned. Suspicious I know but you get that way here.
