Silly question of the day

I recently got my first motorbike (yamaha fzr 250) and am enjoying it so far.

As I say, its my first bike, so please excuse my absolute ignorance here....


Do most bikes not have 'hazard lights' ?? i.e. all indicators flashing at once?
I assummed all bikes had them, but I cant find any way to do it. Is there a knack to turning them on, or does my bike not allow it.

I think some of the newer "adventure" bikes and tourers have them but I'm pretty sure sports bikes and older ones don't...

yeah they arent very common

although my friend had an RS125 a few years ago that had hazards on it

My old bike, a '05 Kawasaki W650 had them but it was part of the alarm system (Datatool System 3) and could only be activated when the bike was off.

My new bike, a '06 Kawasaki ER6F sports bike has a button on the handlebars for the 4 way flashers. I've recently started using them when I'm filtering at low speeds and I find them quite effective.

You could probably get some sort of relay fitted to any bike to get them all flashing at once.

all the japanese market bike's have them even my zzr import has them 1990 make.
when a irish bike of the same year do'snt.
even the 250 slingshot i have has them and thats 88.

not all, my last 2 bikes were imports & they didnt have em (bros & transalp, though the bros was an 89)

i had a 91 bros and it also didnt have hazards
