So I'm gonna get a mp3 player, not interested in video. 200-300 range

I wanna invest in a good set of headphones, any recommendations? 100yoyos kinda range

I don't think there's much point in getting a 80gb+ 'I'm gonna try and download everysong in the world' type player, so I was thinking of learning towards an 8gb nano or something similiar? yay/nay?

Creative seem to be the popular choice tho, should I be looking at them?

Would I save much by buying on-line?

    Thanks for any replies

you don't save anything buying the nano online, Apple have a standard price. I think www.advancedmp3player.co.uk have good discounts and they do a good selection of earphones too.

I've been doing a bit of research, I'm thinking of buying one myself...It's the best flash player on the market by the looks of things. But if you have the money for an 8GB nano you might be better going for a hard drive player if you don't mind the player being slightly bigger...

I had a sony 20gb and it was like carrying around a brick, and I ended up filling it with crap that I never listened to anyway, 8gbs should be plenty really.

I feel the same...I have so much stuff on my iriver (40GB) and I don't listen to half of it...

In 2005, I had the idea that buying a Creative Zen Micro 6GB would be a wise idea, because I could only have things on it that I really listened to, and it would force me to get familiar with new CDs etc.

But it became far too constricting, as my list of 'albums I would never delete' became bigger. Eventually, around 4GB was taken up by albums I was a die-hard fan of. The other 2GB, I was just too lazy to rip and load CDs every few days.

iPod 30GB has been one of the greatest purchases I've ever made. Sure, there are things on it which I dont listen to very often, but at least I have the option. At least, when I feel like something really unusual, I have plenty of music through which I can break the routine/rotation. I can also store large video files for the train, and podcasts as well.

And for €30 more than an 8GB Nano, I would find it an easy choice.

Earphones -Westone UM1 , make Shure E2C sound poor in comparison. You could try Sennheisers CX300s ,cheaper again but dont have a good a fit.
Headphones - Koss Ksc75(detailed) or PX100(dark) both of these will be got for under 40 euro but they dont offer isolation.
For 100 euro get the UM1,free shipping too i think.
