Playing last Friday night (home game) there was 3 of us left. Blinds where 200/400 and one of the lads had about 80 in chips left after he was big blind, he then folded as there was a raise. He was then small blind which was only 80 not 200.

The question is if you have lower than the small blind or even 1 chip left are you still allowed to play?

They would be All-in for the 80 and can only win that amount off each person. The rest would become a side pot.

That's what I taught. But one of the other guys was saying he couldn't play as he couldn't meet the small blind. Anyway the guy with 80 chips came back so much he knocked the 3rd guy out. I taught he was going to win, but he didn't ;)

    Thanks

hard to see how he could turn down at least 880 for 80 presuming the SB raised but none the less, the ruling was correct, eg:

    Under The Gun calls (400),
    SB all-in (80)
    BB checks (400)

SB can win 240 in a side pot, UTG and BB fight it out for a side pot of 640.

    Mr Plough,

Please do not post links directly to places you can download tv shows and the likes. Links to Youtube are ok, but download places are not. Since you are new this is only a warning. I have deleted your message.

    Thank you.

SB is in the main pot and not the side pot but yes this is pretty much it.
