Do you know what type RAM is in it at the moment? There should be a sticker on the module itself.

Failing that just look at the ram in your machine by removing the cover. It will be written on the stick of ram already there, or if you still can't see it, google the serial.

Did you try the crucial memory scanner on their site? It'll tell you what type of ram you have, actually.

I basically told them to llok at the RAM already. Haha. Hence why I said what does the sticker on the module say.:p

Crucial have never heard of iQon laptops apparently. That is the first place I went to to try and help the OP out.

It doesn't really matter what sort of laptop you have, the scanner will still be able to tell you what kind of ram you're currently using.

And sorry my mistake, didn't read your reply, I'm guilty of that a bit too much. :)

No it wont, it will tell you the ram it will like to sell you. Not what you have.

Hate the way they do that.

Cpuzid is the best other than reading the side of it :)

    No worries dude. ;)

Slamman. Glad you got it sorted. Cool that they were so helpful Hopefully they will add Iqon to their list in the Upgrade selector seeing as there seem to be more and more customers using this manufacturer lately.

Obviously it will possibly suggest to you some of the more expensive ram, but still it does provide the correct speed of your ram so you know what you're looking for...

slamman, if by some fluke you still have the details handy (in your mail folders, the physical memory, etc), could you share which were suggested by Crucial? I do IT stuff for my son's school, and one of the teachers has an iQon with the dismal 256MB of memory and I'd love to add enough to make it a perfectly usable system. (As opposed to one whose fan goes nuts with all the swapping.)

    Thanks!

This thread is 3 years old. And by the looks of things Slamman doesn't post here anymore.
You could just do what another poster suggests and download CPUZ and see what type of RAM the laptop uses and go from there.
I'm going to close this. Feel free to open your own thread if you need any more help.
    Closed.
