    Hey,

Im living in Cork and need to get more ram for my iMac G5. It's currently at 256 and i was wondering does anybody know where i could get it done and what would the price be? I'm looking to upgrade to 1gig... or perhaps 512...Anybody have any ideas on what this would cost?

    Thanks alot

Well, since it's an iMac G5, you first need to find out/know whether it uses DDR or DDR2 RAM (and annoyingly, I can't remember the steps...)
Then, just go to Shop4Memory's & Crucial's product configurators, search for your model iMac, and buy the cheaper RAM! :)
Looks to be <€75 for a 512mb stick, <€150 for 1Gb (either kit or single stick).

    Nice one...
thought it would be roughly 75 alrite.. but 150 is a bit steep. i spose i need it tho... Do i need to put the ram in myself like is it easy... cuz the G5 is just a monitor on a stand... looks compicated to go opening up ...unlike a tower i mean...

Use the link for crucial to find what memory you need. There is a 3 step guide to finding the memory you need. It will tell you. Prices don't seem too bad. Delivery is from the USA.

Heres a link with photos , looks like a piece of cake to do , not worth paying someone for to be honest , all you need is one philips screwdriver and make sure you have the right memory before you start ,
