    Caught this thread about 7.30 and decided it could be great value with an overlay and a lot of good players gone to Drogheda or keeping track on Antes Up, so rushed up to reg.

    23 runners, overlay of E980. This is great value with lots of play. 5,000 starting chips and the same again any time you call for them, 30 min levels. 3 tables in total.

    Was pretty card dead at first table, just kept mucking my 93, 74, J2 for the first 45 mins , and then got moved to the third table when it started up;

    Decent enough standard, no lunatics, no madness, everyone playing solid enough, but looking to see a flop or two, pretty general i guess.

    Stole a few pots to keep my self around the 10K mark, but no real movement. First decent hand was KK in MP, 100/200 level. Stack 9K approx. I make it 600 to go, one caller in late position. Flop comes AQx. I lead for 800, villain makes it 1600. Hes played pretty tight up until now so i reckon he has the ace and fold face up. He has AK. Not sure if I played it correctly. Was thinking if i checked called i could have seen the turn for same price, or even called the min raise for another card. Anyway no real damage done. Soon after I get 10 10, Oberon raises in EP to 600, i call, button re-raises to 2500. Oberon calls and i muck. Oberon goes out to button's KK on A high ragged board after the case king landed on the river, oberon had the other king, not sure about the`kicker. He was bluffing since he sat down and only lasted about two orbits after arriving late.

    Then this middle aged Italian guy was moved to the table, covering everyone at the table (dont know how he got his stack). He didnt speak a word of English. Any time someone raised he called, continuation bets were called, reraises were called, no bluffing here:eek: . If you wanted to play against this guy you needed a hand cause if he hit the flop at all he was going to showdown, and he had you covered.

    This kept the game pretty much ABC when he was in the hand, making moves dont wash with this chap. He just grabbed a bunch of chips and put them in, and always the green ones (thousands), why not try the yellows for a change I wanted to tell him.:D

    At ten people remaining it was agreed that everyone got 100 euro each (the overlay) and play for the rest.

    Dont think i had a showdown until the 300/600 level. I raise to 1800 in EP with AKo, the italian guy is the only caller:eek: Fcuk i hope i hit this flop, and it comes downs KQ4. I lead for 3000 and he grabs a bunch of greens and sticks them in, think it was about 8 or 9K. I push all in (total 20K approx) and he calls showing K8, my hand is good and i double up and hes gone soon after with only 1K left after that hand.

    Final table was cushty enough as i was chip leader with about 55K when it formed, only 225K in play so i was in no rush. Pretty standard until we got 4 handed, myself, scottish guy James who works in the Jackpot, young student type guy and a short stack.

    Payout is : 1300 - 900 - 550 - 350.

    Pretty much nip and tuck, level enough in chips between 3 of us (then the shortstack on about 18k), then this hand:

    I get Ks 8s on the button 2K/4K (75K stack) and make it 12K. Student calls in sb , bb shortstack folds and were heads up to a flop of J 4 8 rainbow. He checks and i bet 15K, he deliberates for a good few mins and then pushes all in (72k). I know he doesnt have a J, but isnt doing this with air either. Are my eights good? Thinking he would have reraised all in preflop with 99+ or decent overcards so the only hand i can put him on here is a low pair or an 8 like myself, he doesnt look comfortable at all. I call and he flips 5 5, my hand holds up and we are 3 handed.

    Shorstack gets it all in preflop with 9 9 against James A 10 soon after, A on the flop and its down to two. Me 140K, james 80K - played pretty well throughout.

    Pretty much sussing each other out until i reraise all in preflop with 55. James calls with A 10o. 2 clubs on the flop, one on turn and yep, fourth club lands on the river to give him a flush and its roles reversed. I check raised all in on the turn next hand with J 4 on a K 4 10 J board and he mucks, netting me about 20k.

    Next hand i re-raise all in on a ragged J high flop with 88 and get another 25k. Pretty much level now and we decide to take 1100 each and play the next hand blind for the other 100. I get 2 3 against his Q8, rivering a 2 to get the extra 100:D

    Very enjoyable tourney and highly recommended in comparison to others ive played at this level, however this finished at 2.30am so if it gets popular i'm not sure how long it will go on!!
