Gaim Question

Not sure if this is in the right forum but here goes...

Gaim. I used it a good while ago and I loved it cuz I could combine my msn messenger and google talk in the one application. Handy.

But after many months of joy using it, it just stopped working!
I would double click on the short cut, it would start up and then start to log in automatically and then after about 5 seconds it just dissapears.

I want my Gaim back!

Failing that could someone else suggest another application that I could use?
I tried PSI but I'm finding it really hard to setup the MSN side of things.

Have you tried Trillian? Not sure if it does Google talk.

Nope but will look into it.

I kinda need an application that does them both 'cause I may aswell have the offical msn and google talk open if you know what I mean.

Have you tried just reinstalling it?

Have you updated GTK or installed any other Open Source apps or changed any settings in Gaim recently?

hehe same thing happened to me on my family pc and i haven't been bothered trying to fix it, just started using a jabber client instead (psi)

Get the latest version from the gaim website.

here was a major problem with GaIM connecting to the MSN network. The current beta release and maybe the previous one are the only clients which have resolved the MSN problem as far as i am aware.
