MTT hand, comments?

Small rebuy tournament late on, there was 40 odd runners down to the final 10 with two tables of 5, next person out and it's the final table (I'm not sure, as they don't tell you until the final table, but I think it was top 8 or maybe the entire final table getting paid, so we're right on the bubble). On my table, I'm second in chips with around 24,000. Villian in this case is the one who covers, and is the small blind. As we're on the bubble, the table has tightened up for the most part, and aggressive play is being rewarded against stacks you cover and pots are being won uncontested.

Blinds are 600/1,200 and this hand occurs. There's two limpers (I think, memories a bit hazy) and I'm on the button with pocket kings. I raise to 3,600 (I've been varying raises with differeing strenght hands all night, so I don't think this reveals anything of my hand, so comments on the raise? Should I have gone higher?). SB calls, BB folds, one of the two limpers calls the other fold.

The flop comes down something like 10 2 4 rainbow. Pot at this stage is around 13,200. The SB bets 2,500, a fraction of the pot, but it's enough to take the other person in the hand out. I've around 20,000 behind me. The SB dominates the rest of the table in chips with a stack of at least 50,000, a huge huge chip lead. He has been seing pretty much every flop but is on a sick run of cards up to this point (I saw him hit quads to knock out the second nuts earlier) so is consistently winning pots. He is not shy about throwing chips around however, and it's very much a non scary flop.

    What's your action?

    Here's what happened anyway...
I decide to shove, and he insta-calls with top set of tens and I don't hit my miracle card on the turn or river. Comments? It's very difficult to put him on a hand thats beating me at this point in my opinion, but his bet was outrageously small which should have set alarm bells ringing I suppose. I shoved as I was content to take the pot down there and then and also thought I could easily get a call out of Ace/King Ten, Ace King or even Ace Queen, all of which fit his range. What would any of you have done at that point?

This is my first time posting a hand here so apologies if I've left out any important details.

I'd raise more preflop 4-6x BB considering there's been limpers. What's the sb's like, range etc?

I think as I know the tournament you're talking about and the standard of players the flop bet usually means he's betting a draw or holding a monster.

As it's a drawless board pretty much I don't like the push, raise/fold to a push, still leaves you with 10+BB's

Flat call lets you see if he'll fire again and you can re-evaluate his holding.
