Great Film-maker. Especially back in the 70's

Brewster Mc Cloud was a particularly brilliant piece of anarchic nonsense!
Nashville and Mc Cabe & Mrs. Miller were great too.

In more recent years, he re-visited the multi-plot/character formula of Nashville with Short Cuts - one of the most under-rated films of the 90's.
It's a formula many newer film-makers have also used successfully - like in Magnolia, 21 Grams and Crash.

    A very influential director.

Hugely influential and respected film maker. He will be missed. Might watch MASH tonight in tribute.

    Oh no

A brilliant director, can't believe he's died. But he had a truly fine career.

    Farwell, Robert :(
