    Hello,

Was printing an EPS of a proffessional picture 300mm x 300mm and the print came out very lively and punchy.

I then printed the same picture as part of a group of images, the complete file measuring 900mm x 900mm. This time around the same image was less lively and punchy.

Can anyone explain why this is? Both files were imported from the same source.

Printed using Roland Versaworks Ripware on a Roland SP540v

    Cheers!

Professional picture? Vector art or a photograph?
How do you mean "lively and punchy"? I'm not sure I follow this technical jargon!

Haha,I know,i'm so "professional" myself.I mean the pohotgraph was taken by a pro photographer, i.e proper lighting/setings,good resolution etc - So it wasn't the picture quality that made the image dull looking.

The photograph came out alot more vibrant first time around, alot more colour was present.

    Making sense yet?

yeah i think so! so its a colour/sharpnss issue not a resolution issue.
I can't imagine that the quality changed between files if you used the same print settings. I'm not familiar with your printer and ripware software but have you tried printing the document directly from illustrator without converting to EPS?
Perhaps its something to do with the conversion from RGB to CMYK colour with the EPS.
