    Hi there,
We ordered Sky the other week (inc Sky plus) The guy came out this morning and sadly there is a tree blocking our signal so alas no joy !!!:( So disappointed, was really excited about the sky plus bit.....we are looking to buy a dvd hdd now, so wondering if anyone has any recommendations ? Also wondered if any other provider do a similar thing to sky plus ?
    Yours hopefully
    :)

it would need to be be VERY close to house of very tall.

Dish can go at bottom of garden. That's where I have mine.

Is there just one tree blocking the dish? Could it not be placed somewhere that the tree will not be in the dish's line of sight?

Whats the deal with sky +, i have normal sky with 4 mixes, no premium sports or movies. What would it cost me to get sky+ ??????

It is a very big, very old tree, it's about 100 ft from our house and slightly uphill from us. On the up side though, we went and bought a dvd hdd this evening so at least we can record stuff, pause live tv etc but still gutted about sky plus, so much better !! We will just have to move house !!!!;)

Put the dish on pole in garden to side of tree.

If a VERY big tree where the trunk doesn't bend I have seen a dish mounted about 6 ft off ground ON the tree..

Unfortunatly the tree isn't in our garden and would totally block signal to anywhere around our house or garden, but thanks for suggestion :)
