Got this from digitalspy.co.uk, don't know if anyone else has reported it, if in doubt, post ;)
Fox has confirmed that Prison Break's midseason break will not be as long as previously expected.

The show had been scheduled to go on hiatus until March after airing a fall finale next week. Fox has now announced that fans will only have to wait until January to see new episodes, with the show returning far earlier than planned on January 29.

Whoa.. never heard about the March date to resume the 2nd half of the season.. i just presumed it'd be in the New Year.

Phew.. not much of a wait then!

The March wait would have been torture... similar time frame to that massive break in season 1, but that was mostly due to the extension from 13 - 22 episodes.

most shows in the US now have a massive break in the middle of seasons, look at the Sopranos, that has been gone forever, I think it's something to do with all their scedules changing, i.e. they have a Fall Season, Spring Season, they normally debut/restart shows during "sweeps" week.

don't ask me, they should be like over here and show them all year round IMHO

Good news indeed.Ep 13 is bound to end on a cliff-hanger but at least we will only be left in torturous suspense for two months, not four like Lost's fans.

dear god! i didnt know there was a prospect of a break until March!

January 29th is still along time away! and it will be a full 8 week break

Lost is having a well publicised break and its for 13 weeks.

But at least for Prison Break we've had a number of episodes back to back with no iteruption but 8 weeks still is a ridiculuously long amount of time for a tv show to take a break for,,, dam yanks!

Yeah, you've to hand it to them at Fox. They were quite sparse with breaks this season (with just the one 3 week break between 2X07 and 2X08):
    2X01 - 21 Aug 06
    2X02 - 28 Aug 06
    2X03 - 4 Sep 06
    2X04 - 11 Sep 06
    2X05 - 18 Sep 06
    2X06 - 25 Sep 06
    2X07 - 2 Oct 06
    2X08 - 23 Oct 06
    2X09 - 30 Oct 06
    2X10 - 6 Nov 06
    2X11 - 13 Nov 06
    2X12 - 20 Nov 06
    2X13 - 27 Nov 06

every episode ends on a cliff hanger!! thats the beauty of the show! but waiting 2 months for it will piss me off but on the bright side of things atleast we arent waiting til march!
