I haven't had an mp3 player that the headphone jack hasn't eventually started giving problems.

Before they were cheapish ones... Now it's with my Creative Zen Touch! I can only hear it in one ear most the time. How do I fix this?

Stupid question but have you tried a different set of head/earphones to make sure they aren't the problem? Could be you have blown one of the transducers in the earphone...

thank f*ck that someone finally posted this, i was always too lazy to do it myself.. why haven't any DAP companies developed some kindof new headphones connection system?.. either the inside of the jack socket rips out or else the actuall jack breaks.. the jacks ALWAYS break.. disgraceful design flaws that im suprised has never been improved on..

    hi,
i'm in the same predicament. my creative zen xtra 60gb (which is a tank but i love it) has recently had this problem and it's way out of warranty. does anyone know of any shops in dublin city centre that fix creatives? i've found a tutorial for fixing a nano's headphone jack problem http://home.comcast.net/~mercx/
maybe that could help you if you know someone with a soldering kit, my problem is the nano seems really different to my yoke. any suggestions?
