    Hi Im getting this error message when trying to access a page...any ideas

    HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to server configuration.

    Ok did a few changes to the server and am getting this fresh error

    HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource

    the plot thickens...ideas?

    Cant help you mate but it might be a good idea to provide more information.
    Web server software you are using, what changes you made to the config, what exactly you are trying to do?

    Web page, wow that sure narrows it down. :rolleyes:

    Do you mean an external page on an apache server or an intranet page on IIS maybe its a proxy server that doesn't trust you ?

    But more importantly do you have control over the web page ?
    If not then you could send the error (with more background info) to the webmaster.

    Hang about Mr Google thinks it's probably IIS and I've just lost a lot of interest since it makes difficult things simple and simple things difficult.
