    Last night, just after The Panel on network2 - the first television ad I've seen for Wii....:eek: :D :cool: :eek:

    I haven't even seen one on the english channels yet!
    It was the simple one with just the Wii-mote and a sexy voiceover saying

    "What is this?"

    Cue hand grabbing it....

    "This is Wii"

    About time the advertising kicked in!

    Yeah, I saw that ad after the Arsenal match on rte2 on Saturday.

    I was kinda rubbing my eyes in suprise too.

    Bout time is right. It's not bad, i guess. Hopefully it will get people asking questions and interested (after I pick mine up,of course:) )

    Yep saw it too, may wander off and pre-order, haven't done so yet as was hoping supply would be greater than demand - but looking less like that, although there weren't too many probs in US.

    Saw that last Friday.
    Hopefully they build on it and add more as it gets closer to the 8th.....

    I remember people were equally shocked at a DS ad before that launched; now it's hard not to see an ad for the DS or a DS game... I think Nintendo really have started to pay attention to Europe; not nearly as much as they give to Japan or America, but more than before.

    there's another ad I saw too over the last few days, can't remember if it was on one of the Irish or British channels, but it went;

    "What can Wii do?" (no emphasis on the word "Wii", so it sounded just like "we"), with the picture of the Wiimote and the same white background.

    Then a hand picks it up, and it shows it in action with sound effects of different types of games, for example;

    Using the Wiimote as a gun, the hand aims it and fires a few times with shooting effects heard.
    Engine sound effect hear, with the hand using the Wiimote to steer.
    Hand using Wiimote as a tennis racquet, with ball sound effects

    And there's a few more, but I've forgotten them. I thought it was a nice little ad, showed the functionality, but was kinda "cute" and catchy too, if you get what I mean.
