Hi. Would really appreciate any help as i'm completely clueless when it comes to computers. Yesterday I accidentally unplugged the computer while it was installing updates before it shut down and now I can't get Windows to start up. The computer is split into three different partitions and I can start up through the other two but have a really important file saved in mine which I need to access.

When I switch it on, after Boot Magic asks me to select a partition and I do that, it goes to a screen saying that the computer must have been unplugged during updates etc and gives a number of options to start up...none of which work and all direct me straight back to the very start again.

Help! Sorry if this is a rubbish explanantion, i'll try and give further details if neccessary.
    Thanks.

Do u have the operating system disk? put that into the cd drive and try a repair from the cd?

If it's not starting in safe mode on the messed up windows, then doing a reinstall or repair of windows is probably the only solution.

Your files should still be okay as long as you don't format the partition. Can you not access the files/partition from the other windows install thats still working? Presumable you can see the three partitions as three seperate drives in "my computer", find the right drive and do a search for the file you need. If windows encryption it might be more tricky
