Anyhow who's been following this horse for the last season and a bit will know just how frustrating he is, he's promised so much and for about a dozen occasions in a row he failed to deliver either making silly mistakes or just leaving it too late to challenge. Anyhow Big Rob Kempton 3.10 has a lot of making up to do to his followers, he started this by winning the week before last, and hopefully he can continue where he left off. I imagine he'll be short enough today, but as they say never pass by a horse with your name on it.

    Today's letter is "V":

    Val De Maal Wol 4:20
    Valance Kem 2:05
    Valiant Romeo Sth 12:20
    Vaughan Kem 1:35
    Verstone Sed 12:10
    Violette Wol 5:50

    6 selections = 10c e/w lucky 63 => €12.60

    I agree.

Top of the RP ratings, Big Rob is a worthy favourite here. It is worth noting that blindly backing favourites in Chases at Kempton produces a profit over the past few seasons. That fact aside, He is proven on the distance, has the form and can handle the extra weight. Ground should not be too big a problem. I have taken him at 6/4.

In the same race, Umbrella man looks like he could nick a place (3 places up for grabs) Lavelle has a decent profitable record at Kempton, and is in good form overall. Umbrella man is proven on the distance, and has enjoyed good form. I don't think he will beat Big Rob, but I think the place bet I've had at 6/5 was great value.

I think the The 5:50 at Wolverhampton offers a good dutching opportinity.

Firstly, the favourite Cimyla: A good All Weather performer. Good form last season and has more to come I'd reckon. The jockey (Baker) has a profitable record at Wolverhampton over the past few seasons, and the trainer (Wall) has been in profitable form this year. One of the top RP rated horses here, Cimyla is proven on the course (over this distance) and should be right up there.

Secondly, Party Boss: Also one of the top RP rates horses, Party Boss is a proven CD winner. Brittain has a profitable record at Wolverhampton, and is showing profitable form overall. Similarly, the jockey (Doyle) shows a profitable record here over the past few seasons, and shows an overall profit for the past year. Party boss used to be a cracking AW horse, and while his recent form has been questionable, I cant rule him out completely.

Dutching the two of them gives an overall price of just under 8/5.

    Bet:

    Cimyla - Price: 3.45, stake: 7.36 points
Party Boss - Price: 9.6, stake: 2.64 points

Return if any selection wins: 25.38 points (including stake)

I should add that Fusili looks like the danger here, but throwing him into the equation turn the overall price of the dutch into 8/11, so I am reluctantly leaving him out
