Query re: Privacy Policies

Is there a standard template format for these, or does it really need to be specific to your site?

I know it's not exactly Legalese, but my head is wrecked trying to cover every concievable possability with regards to, basically, covering your own arse.

Any help? Does it even matter as no one reads them anyway?

You can use a basic template for them, but you need to ensure that you understand which data you are collecting

It's also the law....

A lot of people do read them so it does actually matter.
