Concrete sub floor & wooden floors - drying out time?

As mentioned in another thread, we are currently in the middle of a extension to the back of our house. We're planning on running wooden floors throughout an open plan area (new extension plus old existing kitchen and dining room), but have been advised that we should hold off laying the wooden floor in the extension, allowing 1 month for every inch of concrete subfloor that has been laid.

    Is this correct? Thanks

You do need to let the concrete floor dry out.
But 1 month per inch seams a bit excessive. 200mm floor = 8 months
