Have you done a test print - sometimes printing can get improve as the ink dissolves from the back - or print something with solid blocks of colour. Can't remember the self test for them - hold a button when you power it on.

How long since it was last used - if a very long time then may never fully clear up. :(

"proper cleaning fluid" - which ?

What sort of brand is the cleaning fluid? Don't tell me Tesco...

    Cheers for the replies.

Test prints - aye. Still blurred however. It was last used maybe three - five weeks ago. :/

Try dipping the printhead in 1/2 " water just off the boil and use a damp
tissue to draw out the ink. Also make sure the printer is switched off
after use via the printer switch, not the wall socket.

cheers, always used the wall switch in the past so probably my own fault.

Yeah some printers move to the return position and blow their little noses before pressing the head against a seal to stop the solvent evaporating and leaving a deposit that clogs the nozzles.

Just to elaborate on the switching here`s a piece of an article:-

"ALWAYS use the printers ON/OFF button to power down the printer! Most inkjet printers have a print head park function which ensures the print head is positioned and sealed correctly and not exposed to the drying effects of the ambient air. If you switch off the printer at the mains socket the print head will not park correctly!."

Also it`s worth printing a test page every couple of days if you don`t use the printer much.
