As the title suggests what do you do when you've raised preflop and the player who called you OOP fires into you with a stupid small bet?

Hand 1: I raise on the button to $4 with Q-6c. BB calls. flop comes Q-7-4 with 2 hearts. He donks out $3. I ???

Hand 2: I raise with J-To on te button to $4. Flop comes A-J-9 with with 2 hearts. Donkey bets $2. i ????

Raise! I don't play on Tribeca, but it's usually a bet with a draw or a weak pair and he wants to see a turn card for cheap.
If you raise the flop, you'll usually get checked to on the turn so can see a free river.

I was coaching a friend the other day, and it opened my eyes.... whenever he hit something he'd want to bet, and it was usually small enough. It didn't matter to him what position he was in, the texture of the flop, how many people were in the hand or whether he was the PFR or not. If he had top pair, 2nd pair even or some sort of draw he'd bet small. I feel this is the way a lot of people play on tribeca. I think it's great information, and in these situations you should fold if you miss, or raise if you hit. It saves you a continuation bet. If you have a hand, but it's not the best then as fuzz said, check calling might be the best plan.

There are of course a few players who use the donk bet as part of their strategy. Against this type you should still employ the same strategy as above, but become a little looser with your raising/calling range, and get a bit more aggressive. In the examples above I'd probably raise with the Q6 and then go into check/call or maybe check/fold mode if he plays back... and with JT I'd check call him down. you simply cannot fold for $2:) If you hit a J or T you will hopefully get his entire stack.

ps: what on earth are you raising these goons with Q6o for:)

    here's an irritating hand.

****ING RETARD ($45) limps in CO and I make it $5 on the button with Q-8h. IDIOT calls. Flop comes 7h-Ac-Qc. He bets $2. I know he's weak or drawing. I raise to $10. He calls. Turn 2d. He donks outs $1. I make it $15. He calls. "Jesus why won't you **** of!!" River 2s. He goes all in. "Fine I call you on your busted flush draw" He shows 8c-2c. "HA!! I knew it!! Oh wait.. AH FFS!!"

Hand 1 I dont think is such a clear call; I would be fairly sure I have the best hand and im not going to let him decide the price to see the next stree with his stupid donk bet. Theres $10 in there and a flush draw on the flop - I dont really consider it a real raise though when someone bets so small, if he had bet 7 or 8 I think calling would be much better. I would just raise enough so that the bet is close to a pot sized bet. This is similar to the hand you had an argument with MDMA over a few months ago, allthough different in that one was closer as it was the turn and his bet was much bigger.
