I'd say that it would be cheapest if you bought them separate.

Buy the actual DS in a shop so you can return it easily if faulty and them but the Brain Training game online (cdwow.com or blahdvd.com I'd say).

Cheers, thats a good idea . Off topic , just the way you said it are the DS Lite having many faults?

Might try extra vision and game first , seem to be doing deals.

Some people have cracked the hinges, but Nintendo will replace those for free IIRC.
Also, be a good idea to buy some screen protectors or something (cdwow should have them) to protect the touchscreen.

But other than that, nothing to really go wrong -- cheap (=> easy) to manufacture LCD screens & no moving parts leaves very little to break! :D

ask the person behind the counter whats the shops policy on returns. Some might just swap out the ds once its in warranty, others might try make you contact Nintendo.

Haven't seen many brought back faulty to the shop where I work. Less even than the original DS.

The White ones hinge has the flaw. If you buy the black one then you shouldn't see any problems. I've not seen any problems reported about the black one.
