The snapper is a luckbox of the highest order, he hasn't folded a hand yet.

What a sick sick lead Snapper has at the break 8300 to everyone less than 3000

Well in fairness you are too! Getting hidden aces AND not losing the pot against snapper!

Interesting to see people putting so much emphasis on the low hands. The simplest advice I read on hi-low stud tourneys is to play hands that can scoop (win both hi and lo) pots early on to win chips but in the latter stages the high hands are much more valuable. Makes sense as low hands can often miss. Alot of players pushing with 3 low cards when they were short stacked which is a mistake imo as all they can hope for is to win half the pot and still be in trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,328 ✭✭✭hotspur

Maybe some players took out the old Supersystem and had a look at stud h/l which was written before the introduction of the qualifying 8 requirement :)

WhiteSwan was a sick sick cardrack headsup and gave me a good ass whooping after i'd taken 2-1 lead early on. My strategy of raise and reraise every time with nothing was soon found out. Lol.

    WP.

Is there a trophy for this BCOOP thing? :p

Good game Ian, just wondering for future reference when somoene offers to do a deal is it down to their word, what happens if they back out etc
Im referring to online sites not live poker, im not saying i doubted your word Ian just wondering how these deals are actually done?

good game everyone. I really enjoyed my time in this tournament. I decided to play very tight early on and see how the game would develop; but I had some hands early on I couldnt get away from.

ya muso... think that was my mistake all right. I had never played the game before, and read a quick "strategy" guide about 10 minutes before it started. it was all about scooping the pot, which meant the best starting hands were 3 very low cards with straight and flush draws. But obviously if you don't hit on 4th/5th str you have to give it up. you can get away with this when the blinds are low.
I didnt get to the tight or short-handed section of the strategy.... and there in lies the only reason I didnt take down the tourney last night :D

Yeah you got very unlucky in the early stages. Repeatedly dogged by one small pair when you were obviously representing a monster with 4 totally uncoordinated cards showing in your hand. WP.

Can I? Also, if you don't count a bounty on his head as some form of 'outtogethimism' then I don't know what counts.
