Moving house this week and I have sky installed but by a private satellite dealer.
I had no phone line attached to the box and wish to continue this in new house.
Now what is the procedure! Do I just bring the box and the dish with me and
inform sky of the move??And get someone to reinstall the system again,or will sky do this?Is there a charge? And how much?
Sorry if this was discussed before but I cant seem to find any thread to answer my questions.
Thanks in advance for any advice.:)

If you re-install yourself you don't need to tell Sky at all.

If you do want Sky to re-install you they charge you (but supply a new dish and LNB). It used to be about 70 Euro which is cheap

If someone else re-installs you, sky doen't need to be informed.

It's best to get the address on your account changed so you get Sky magasine and any replacement card if they ever replace the cards again.

How long have you had Sky? If you've had it over 12 months you're no longer obliged to have a line connected. An independant may re install it for you and not care whether line is connected or not.

For Multiroom, a phoneline is mandatory for all the boxes used for the Multiroom subscription. This is to allow Sky to make sure all the Multiroom boxes are in the same house.
