Finding TV5 at 28.2

I have a fixed satellite pointing to Astra 2 at 28.2 (I think) on a freeview box (not sky)

Have been trying to find TV5 to watch France vs NZ tonight.

I don't really want to start moving the dish if at all possible.

Any suggestions?

TV5 on 28.2 is encrypted. Its free on 19.2 and 13.0 as well as other birds - its pretty endemic on European craft tbh.

So, I would have to move dish?

I only ask because I appear to be able to pick up other satellites like NileSat101 which are not at 28.2 without moving it.

I only have a very basic dish.

You can't possibly be picking up Nilesat.

If your dish is badly aligned you *might* pickup 25.5 BADR (Arab sat). But if you are simply getting some ethnic channels when you scan NileSat they might be Sky channels. many satellites use the same frequencies.

Yes you absolutely need to move the dish.

If you can pick up S4C its live on that too... Can't help with picking up TV5 though, haven't a clue, sorry...

Sounds to me like you mean you are picking up one of the FTA channels called "Nile...." something or other which is available of Astara 28.2 E
